ABOUT ME
I have been obsessed with nature all my life. As a 5-year old, I was pestering my mother to take me to the local aquarium. As a teenager, I worked in a pet shop. After high school, I started studying Biology, eventually completing a Master’s degree in Behavioural Ecology, followed by doing research on Manta rays in Mozambique.
Photography was always a constant. I got my first camera at the age of 15. I learned myself underwater photography during my years in Mozambique. My wife and I moved to Tasmania from The Netherlands in 2020. Remoteness, wild seas, magnificent forests and odd creatures like the Platypus and Rakali are what attracted us. Here I found my dream job working as a wildlife cinematographer and photographer.
I have since filmed for documentaries featured on the ABC, PBS, Netflix, National Geographic and Disney+. My photography has been showcased in various international photo competitions, including the Ocean Photographer of the Year 2025 and the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year in 2021 and 2024.
